AWS BugBust est une compétition qui a été présentée récemment par Amazon. Un grand nombre de développeurs vont être mis en concurrence dans le but de localiser et de corriger plus d’un million de bugs. “AWS BugBust favorise la constitution d’équipes et introduit une compétition amicale pour améliorer la qualité du code et les performances des applications. De plus, vos développeurs peuvent participer au plus grand défi de code au monde, gagner des prix fantastiques et recevoir les félicitations de leurs pairs”, a expliqué Martin Beeby, le principal avocat d’AWS.
AWS BugBust sera disponible progressivement
Si vous voulez participer à AWS BugBust, rendez-vous sur la page dédiée sur laquelle vous trouverez toutes les instructions. La console de développement de machine learning qui aide à identifier les bugs et qui sert de base au BugBust est Amazon CodeGuru. Un classement en temps réel des meilleurs développeurs sera rendu disponible par AWS BugBust. En outre, il y aura également une sélection, une distribution de badges de réussite et de voyages tous frais payés pour assister à l’AWS re:Invent 2021 à Las Vegas.
Cependant, cette compétition est seulement disponible pour quelques états américains pour le moment. Martin Beeby assure que ce programme sera disponible dans tous les pays où CodeGuru est déployé, notamment en France dans un futur proche.
Le vice-président d’Amazon AI, Swami Sivasubramanian, a déclaré : “Aujourd’hui, nous sommes ravis d’annoncer une toute nouvelle approche pour aider les développeurs à améliorer la qualité du code, à éliminer les bugs et à augmenter les performances des applications tout en économisant des millions de dollars en coûts de ressources d’applications”.
Des récompenses pour ceux qui corrigeront le plus grand nombre de bugs
En ce qui concerne les récompenses, les 10 premiers recevront donc des billets pour assister à l’événement AWS re:Invent à Las Vegas. Pour le reste des participants, dès lors que la barre des 100 points est franchie, un t-shirt est offert. Ceux qui parviennent à obtenir plus de 2000 points remportent une veste teddy brodée “AWS BugBust”.
